The Human Brain and the Effect of Drugs

The Human Brain Project was developed to study and report on the effects of drugs on the human brain. The research includes marijuana, cocaine, heroin, alcohol and LSD. The human brain is a powerful tool that is triggered by different chemical reactions that in-turn create a variey of reactions and feelings within the body. Within this site we work to explain the human brain, including the different parts of the human brain and what each section is in charge of controlling. When we better understand the human brain, we will have a greater understanding on how drugs effect the brain through an altering of nerve response and other actions. In the site we also discuss Human Brain Mapping, which explores the localization of function in the human brain. This way scientists are able to identify what parts of the human brain control specific actions or senses.

Marijuana and the Human Brain

One of the drugs that is being studied in the medical industry is marijuana.
